western larkspur ~ 06/09/11 ~ Pinnacles

This is the first time I've ever seen a wild white-colored Delphinium. The pink undertones are best seen in shadow as opposed to full sun. Absolutely beautiful!

Stunning little beauty! I fell in love with the blue larkspur we discovered here:-) I've always loved larkspur/delphinium. In my garden in Oregon, I had some different blue shades of English delphiniums that were about 6' tall.

6 feet tall?!? Wow. Delphiniums are one of my favorite flowers, even if I have a hard time identifying them to species. I should put this down as one for my dream garden.
