I still don't know enough to accurately describe a habitat in words. Here on the coast of CA, terms such chaparral and coastal scrub seem to have inconsistent definitions between different sources. Plus, assorted habitats often intermingle at a single location. My intention with these habitats posts is to pictorially show a step-back look at the locations and their sometimes subtle seasonal changes from year to year. For me, pictures often speak more clearly than words.
