sea otter
Enhydra lutris

The Moss Landing touristy area is one of the best local places to see sea otters in large numbers. Since I don't get up there very often, nor do I stop to look, I'm not sure about any seasonal variations of sea otter populations.

Twenty sea otters, Katie?! Oh, we 're seriously jealous now :o)

Wow! doesn't begin to explain it.

Ah well, back to studying the ice on our small pond...

Did you count them, Graeme? You'll have your days to boast... as soon as summer comes around.
