Thanks, you two. This amazing light show was a pleasant surprise as we were heading home along the 17 from Cupertino: http://www.parkhere.org/portal/site/parks/

Cute! I used to walk past Vasona all the time when I was in 8th grade, and didn't think much about it. I think I'd appreciate it a bit more nowadays especially from a nature perspective:-)

Erica, you lived in Los Gatos, too? It's really pretty there.

I am so happy to have found your blog via your comment on mine! The photos are fab, especially this one. As soon as I saw it, I was reminded of the Light-Brite toy I had as a child. That was one of my most prized possessions. Thanks for them memory.

I drove by here the other night, and you catch glimpses of all the lights from Hwy 17. I really must make an effort to get out of the car and see this in person tough this year. It looks spectacular from the freeway, what you can see of it.

Amber, I didn't even think of Light-Brite. It totally looks like it. Thanks for the memories, too!

Clare, we had no idea about this annual event when we were driving by and saw all the lights. We made a quick decision to pull off the hwy, thinking we'd find a neighborhood candy cane lane. Once you get in the lengthy event car queue, you're kinda stuck. It took us an hour to get to the entrance and go through the park in our car. They don't let you walk through it. There's a train option that looks kinda cool and great for kids.
